Rx D3™ contains cholecalciferol, the precursor to vitamin D3 for all animals. This cholecalciferol is blended with virgin olive oil and diluted sufficiently to be safe even for animals as small as 4 kg.
Recent studies in dogs, cats, and humans have found that vitamin D3 deficiency is strongly associated with several difficult-to-treat chronic diseases, including cancer, heart disease, inflammatory bowel disease, kidney disease, hyperparathyroidism, and feline tooth resorption. By regularly monitoring serum vitamin D3 levels, it is possible to identify patients with insufficient levels and provide them with precise supplementation using Rx D3™.
